Prof. dr. Rob van Tulder
Full professor of International Business-Society Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam/Rotterdam School of Management. He holds a PhD degree (cum laude) in social sciences from the University of Amsterdam. Published in particular on the following topics: European Business, Multinationals, high-tech industries, Corporate Social Responsibility, the global car industry, issues of standardisation, network strategies, smaller industrial countries (welfare states) and European Community/Union policies. Acted as consultant for various international organisations, ministries and companies. Research director of the ERIM research project “International Business-Society Management” and the SCOPE databank project. Founding chair of the Department of Business-Society Management. Van Tulder taught executive courses on International Strategic Management with (executive) managers and academics and has been visiting professor at several international universities.

Alex van der Zwart MScBA
Alex van der Zwart is a selfemployed business consultant. He is actively committed to as research associate at the Department of Business-Society Management, Rotterdam School of Management. His research for the department is aimed at Corporate Social Responsibility in a bargaining society, Reputation Management, Issues Management, Business-Society relationships and NGO activism. He has a MSc degree, with a specialization in Business-Society Management and International Reputation Management. His MA thesis formed an important part of a concise book he published in 2003 jointly with professor Rob van Tulder. The Dutch book ‘Reputaties op het spel’ (www.reputatiesophetspel.nl) now forms an integral part various teaching programs. The book has received a nomination for Management of the Year 2004 in The Netherlands. Van der Zwart has his own research and consulting firm called "Concernz". He gives various guest lectures, workshops, seminars and does research for various institutions.

The authors of the book International Business-Society Management have also jointy published the Dutch book “Reputaties op het Spel, maatschappelijk verantwoord ondernemen in een onderhandelingssamenleving" (Reputations at Stake, corporate social responsibility in a bargaining society), Utrecht: Het Spectrum (2003). This book received a nomination for Management Book of the Year 2004 in The Netherlands.
